There are almost no potion or cure items! Build a team that can take on any type and make sure to level up
Your starters evolve by giving them an type plate. You can buy type plates at the Hub Town mall for $5000
Save often! Always save before talking to the move relearner (guy in middle of hub town)
Beating Gyms gives Rare Candies. It's a race, use them!
Surf is the only HM you need to beat the game
Both HM and TM moves are infinitely reusable!
There are multiple objectives to get points. Try catching more pokemon, applying effects or collecting tms
Some pokemon only have a 5% chance to appear
All pokemon have an easy catch rate. Spamming pokeballs at them, even at full hp, will usually work
The gyms can be largely done out of order. If you struggle vs a certain gym, try another
All fully evolved pokemon (new to this game) have at least 530 stat total aka none have shitty stats
The move relearner costs pokeballs to use
Almost all pokemon have good stab moves for their types
Support pokemon like Merci, Saurus and Trapclap can help allies or debilate enemies
You can fly to other cities... the map is wrong tho
You get points for beating gyms, and extra points if you beat them first
